Dr. Art Rouse has 35 years of leadership experience in K-20 education. He has served both K-12 and higher education as an innovative leader. Based on his years of research on leadership, he has worked with several K-12 school districts' administrators in North Carolina to refocus their efforts on effective school leadership practices resulting in a dynamic teaching and learning environment that has positively impacted student academic achievement. As interim dean of a college of education in North Carolina, he successfully implemented strategies which increased the college's research and grant activity by 50% during a three-year period while continuing to be the largest producer of educators in the state.
